VMW Team Foundation Plants Trees on World Environment Day
Jaipur | On the occasion of World Environment Day, various social organizations and educational institutions across the district carried out tree-planting activities. This significant day was marked by spreading the message of environmental conservation and encouraging people to plant more trees.
The VMW Team Foundation conducted a tree-planting drive at the park located in Malviya Nagar. The campaign was inaugurated by Dr. Anand Upadhyay, Superintendent of the Radiology Department at Apex Hospital, by planting the first sapling. A total of 10 fruit-bearing and 15 shade-giving trees were planted in public spaces.
VMW Team Foundation’s Director, Madhulesh Pandey, emphasized that the team has always been proactive about environmental conservation. “Our work does not end by just planting trees or cleaning up on World Environment Day. It should be incorporated into our daily lives as a duty,” he said.
Rajat Sharma highlighted the importance of trees by stating, “Just as our body needs nutrition from food, the environment needs trees to stay clean. Trees absorb environmental pollutants and provide us with pure, life-giving air. Protecting them is as crucial as planting them.”
Arun Goswami initiated the program with a discussion on the importance of plants and their care. Experts shared insights on the proper ways to nurture and preserve trees. Sameer remarked that this event played a significant role in raising environmental awareness among the local community, and attendees committed to participating in future initiatives.
Sangeet Mota underscored the significance of trees in maintaining the Earth’s climatic balance. “Trees are vital to our lives, and we must care for them as we would for children until they mature. A single tree can save hundreds of lives,” he said.
In conclusion, team member Rohit Yadav reiterated that their goal extends beyond planting trees to also include their protection and care. Naval Kishore expressed gratitude to all attendees for their participation.
