Rajasthan CM Launches Rs 10,000 Crore Projects: Doctor Appointments Now Available via App in Government Hospitals

In a transformative move for Rajasthan’s healthcare and infrastructure, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma launched ambitious projects worth Rs 10,000 crore on March 28, 2025, aimed at uplifting the state’s public services. The centerpiece of this initiative is a groundbreaking digital upgrade for government hospitals, allowing patients to book doctor appointments seamlessly through a dedicated mobile application. This marks a significant leap toward modernizing healthcare access in the state.

The new app-based appointment system is designed to reduce long waiting times and overcrowding at government hospitals, ensuring that citizens can schedule consultations with ease from their smartphones. “This is a step toward bringing healthcare closer to the people,” the Chief Minister said during the launch event in Jaipur. “With technology, we aim to make medical services more efficient and patient-friendly.” The app, expected to roll out across all major government hospitals by mid-2025, will also provide real-time updates on doctor availability and allow rescheduling, a feature hailed by healthcare workers and patients alike.

Beyond healthcare, the Rs 10,000 crore package includes a mix of infrastructure, education, and rural development projects. Key highlights include the construction of 50 new primary health centers in underserved regions, upgrades to state highways, and the launch of a skill development program targeting 1 lakh youth. Additionally, funds have been allocated for solar energy initiatives, reinforcing Rajasthan’s position as a growing hub for renewable energy.

The announcement has sparked optimism among residents, with many praising the government’s focus on digitization and accessibility. “Booking an appointment was a hassle earlier, but this app will save us time and effort,” said Priya Meena, a Jaipur resident. However, officials have emphasized the need for robust internet connectivity in rural areas to ensure the app’s success statewide.
