- Scholarship to help underprivileged students to pursue diploma courses with Government Polytechnics
The K. C. Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) has been working since 1953 to make a difference in the lives of thousands of students by offering them a variety of scholarships. KCMET is inviting applications for its annual Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) 2023 to encourage and support students from low-income families who wish to pursue a Diploma course from a government or any other recognized Polytechnic Institute in India. A scholarship award of Rs. 30,000/- over a period of 3 years of the course (Rs. 10,000/- per annum) is given to 550 students annually.
Eligibility criteria:
-Candidate should have passed SSC/HSC or equivalent examinations in the 10th /12th standard with more than 60% marks.
-The candidate should have secured admission in a government or any other recognized Polytechnic Institute for a diploma course.
-The candidate who have enrolled for the first year of their polytechnic diploma course
-The candidate should belong to a family with low yearly income.
Preference will be given to girl students, children from lower income group families, differently abled children, and children of armed forces personnel.

To apply on portal, students should register themselves with their valid email ID to login on the portal.
For students in Karnataka and Telangana, the deadline to submit the application is around 20th August 2023 and for Tamil Nadu its around 30th August 2023. Shortlisted applicants will be informed of the interview date and venue well in advance.
Till date, 11,840 students have been awarded this scholarship across India. MAITS recipients have gone on to win over adversities and chart a new course in their lives. Today MAITS awardees are in established positions in diverse fields like Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc.
